Since 2007 I have clinically-led Beautifil clinics as a registered general nurse (RGN) and advanced aesthetic facial practitioner.  I am also a member of the British Association of Cosmetic nurses, which means that I always work in your best interests.

By using muscles repeatedly throughout a lifetime, the skin is creased in areas of greatest use such as frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead.

Because the ageing process causes the slow down of collagen and elastin production in the skin, as we get older these areas of over-use become damaged and the lines become permanent.

By reducing the movement of muscles in these areas the skin stops being creased and is allowed to recover resulting in lines that soften or even fade away. If treatment is maintained over a period of time the facial muscles become re-educated and a yearly maintenance programme is normally required.
